Was he a little misguided and made really bad decisions? Sure. In the end I really ended up liking Justin. But I felt this way about characters before, i.e., Froi in Finnikin of the Rock Silas in All Lined Up Dean in The Deal, and I managed to love them in their own book so I went for it with that hope in the back of my mind. I didn’t like him at all in the first book The Fine Art of Pretending. To be honest I was concerned when I learned it was Justin’s story.

It’s typically fun and entertaining and The Natural History of Us is exactly that. I love a good “win back the girl you lost” story. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
